No surprise that to the ears of a professional vocal teacher, Devin’s vocal stylings are excellent. Devin Townsend Officially Announces New Album “Empath”

World-renowned progressive music artist Devin Townsend has officially announced the release of his forthcoming new album Empath, due for release for March 29th, 2019 via his longtime label, InsideOut Music. As we previously reported Devin just completed work on the album and has been sharing updates on the progress with his fans on social media. Soon, Devin will walk fans through how Empath came together with a series of documentary episodes recorded as phone conversations during the course of the recording of the album. New Devin Townsend Album Is Almost Complete, Due Out This March

In a series of posts to social media, Devin Townsend has announced that he has nearly completed work on his new album Empath. Devin reports that the album will be out this March, as expected from his longtime label InsideOut Music. Devin also shared Troy Glessner’s post with a photo of the files of the apparently completed master of the album. Devy also shared an image that may be the album cover and logo. Empath is one of the most anticipated albums of 2019 and we’ll be updating our readers with more information as we get it. Steve Vai, Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger And More Guest On Devin Townsend’s New Album

In a series of tweets, Devin Townsend revealed he is nearing completion of his new album, Empath, due this spring via InsideOut Music. In addition to frequent collaborator Anneke Van Giersbergen (Vuur), Devy is working with Chad Kroger of Nickelback, Che Dorval, Mike Keneally, and others. He discussed the arduous process of making this album and how relieved he is that it is nearing completion. He also commented that the theme of the album is “anti-suicide”. Continue reading →

Devin Townsend has announced he has re-signed to InsideOutMusic. Devin and InsideOut are celebrating 20 years together and look forward to many more projects. Townsend is working on a plethora of new projects including a new album, Empath, due in 2019. All of Devy’s solo releases, under his own name Devin Townsend Project, Casualties of Cool, as well as live releases recorded at landmark shows in Devin’s career at the Royal Albert Hall and the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria have released via InsideOut.
