A GoFundMe Campaign Has Been Launched for Oakland Metal Club Eli’s Mile High

One of the most vital clubs to the Bay Area metal scene today is Eli’s Mile High. The club has recently come under fire due to new zoning laws in Oakland that have forced them to close their patio, reduce staff, and scramble to fund the business. A GoFundMe has been launched to raise money and already 644 people have donated toward the cause. One donor is Billy Joe Armstrong of Green Day, a booster in the Oakland area of businesses and a small business owner himself. The fundraiser page reads: “We are reaching out to our beloved community for help with supporting this historic venue through recently imposed city restrictions and zoning issues on its ability to ‘Make Fun Easy’ and reopen the Eli’s patio.” Please donate if you can I’m we cannot lose this club.
