Download 2020 Recast as a Virtual Festival with Iron Maiden, System of A Down, KISS and More

Download Festival was one of the first major festivals in the heavy music work canceled due o the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Now we are getting a virtual festival set to take place. Mark off June 12-14 for some prime rock and metal viewing, with many top acts taking part. The Download TV weekend will be split into day and evening programming, with tailor-made shows featuring Iron Maiden, System of a Down and KISS leading the way. KISS will headline the Friday (June 12) festivities, with a replay of standout moments from their huge 2015 headline set. Iron Maiden head up the Saturday (June 13) programming with nostalgic performances, “Legacy of the Beast” snippets, as well as “something just for Download TV.” And System of a Down will close out the virtual festival on Sunday (June 14) with footage from their performances in 2005, 2011 and 2017. Among the other bands appearing are Alter Bridge, Alestorm, Alter Bridge, Babymetal, Baroness, Bush, Creeper, Deftones, Disturbed, Employed To Serve, Fozzy, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Gojira, Killswitch Engage, Korn,Lacuna Coil, Mastodon, The Pretty Reckless, Twin Temple, Volbeat and more. Bush Announces New Album Details, “The Kingdom” Drops This July

In a new interview with Tucson’s rock station Rock 102.1 KFMA., Bush has announced their new album The Kingdom, will officially arrive on July 17th. Gavin Rossdale described the new music as : “It’s just really heavy and wide and just of the time. It’s really of the time — that’s what I like about it. It feels really necessary — a necessary record. The band’s on fire. It’s just exciting.” Bush has released two singles in the last year: ‘Flowers On A Grave’ and last year’s ‘Bullet Holes’, from the John Wick 3 Parabellum soundtrack. Their last album 2017’s Black And White Rainbows. Bush’s current lineup also includes guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes.

Bush To Release Live Album and DVD “Live In Tampa”

Bush will release a new live album/DVD, Live In Tampa, via Cleopatra Entertainment on April 24th. Performing to a sold-out crowd of 10,000 die-hard fans at the MidFlorida Amphitheater in Tampa during their critically acclaimed 2019 “Altimate Tour”, this 90-minute performance was filmed in 4K UHD with 15 cameras to capture the show from every angle. Helmed by award-winning producer Barry Summers of Rock Fuel Media, the concert features the band’s biggest hits, including “Machinehead”, “Glycerine”, “Comedown”, “Swallowed”, “Everything Zen” and their newest hit song, “Bullet Holes”, from the blockbuster “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum” soundtrack. This special edition package includes a Blu-ray disc, a standard definition DVD, and a bonus audio CD of the entire concert. Their new album, “The Kingdom”, will be released this summer. Bush and Live Add Extra Dates to Their “Alt-Imate Tour”

Bush and Live have been on tour all summer selling out dates of “Alt-Imate Tour”, uniting two of the most acclaimed, successful bands of the 1990s. Due to overwhelming demand, nine extra dates have been tacked on to the existing dated. Both of these iconic acts are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their respective landmark albums Throwing Copper and Sixteen Stone. Produced by Live Nation, this tour is now adding shows in San Diego, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, Reno, Temecula and Phoenix (see itinerary below). FESTIVAL REVIEW: ROCKLAHOMA 2019

Rocklahoma 2019. Three days in the sun, dust, and more sun over Memorial Day weekend (four days technically if you count the Thursday night pre-party). This was the 12 year of this annual festival and it was set to be one for the books from the get-go. Getting to this massive party was no small task on my part. Driving from New Hampshire to Oklahoma isn’t exactly a relaxing Sunday drive. Two full days of driving, two full-on tornadoes, and 1,700 miles later, I had arrived at my Air BnB in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Bush has set The Mind Plays Tricks On You as the title of their new album, due for release next fall, with the date yet to be announced. The disc was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with film composer Tyler Bates, who has previously worked with Marilyn Manson. The new album will feature a song called ‘Bullet Holes’, which will also be featured in the upcoming film John Wick 3.
