TV Eye has become the de facto weirdo hangout for the Brooklyn metal scene. On any given night you can find a dozen or so members of local bands rolling cigarettes in the courtyard while they wait for their chicken sandwich from Luther’s, chatting with the regulars who frequent the Ridgewood bar and venue. Week after week, they cycle between their tours of duty on the stage and in the booths at the bar, and occasionally behind the decks for the front room after parties. And while there’s always a handful of these regulars at TV Eye, when a band like Yellow Eyes is playing, the community comes out in full force.
