One of the best and most righteous underground metal labels in the world, UKEM (United Kingdom Extreme Metal) known for bands such as Wolfbastard, Agrona, Deadwood Lake, Reign of Erebus, and more have been banned from their Facebook page after nine years in business. The rub seems to be over the pre-order from Viking themed metal band Sleipnir. Facebook apparently has confused the Yorkshire, UK based band with a NSBM band of the same name from thirty years ago. A simple google search shows that not only are they not the same band, but the real Sleipnir also could not be further from the other band. Still, the band is contemplating a name change even though their new album is avaialble for pre-orders. Currently, due to the pandemic, most social networks and websites have furloughed a lot of staff that normally would help moderate accounts, so a lot of pages, groups and even news stories are getting flagged and taken down by AI bots, with no recourse.
