The video continues to tell the story of Ghost minions Sister Imperator and Papa Nihil and features Cardinal Copia. The video seems to be setting up a new announcement, as these videos often do. Ghost just concluded their biggest year ever with the final show of their tour at Brooklyn NY’s Barclays Center. The band also performed at The Los Angeles Forum and all over the country during the “A Pale Tour Named Death”. They toured all over the world supporting their critical and commercial hit album Prequelle (Loma Vista Recordings), which was also The Ghost Cult Album of the Year in our writers poll. The band will start next year with more headline tours, opening for Metallica’s arena tour and music festivals. We have spent a fair amount of time discussing the meteoric rise of Ghost the last few years, culminating in a banner year in 2018. In addition to As part of their huge A Pale Tour Named Death Tour’s final leg the band would perform shows at both The Forum in Los Angeles and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the band has definitely signaled that they have their eyes on bigger things in the future. Ghost riding high off a huge year, releasing the worldwide smash album Prequelle (Spinefarm), and headline tours of Europe and the USA have even more in store for next year. In addition to a full tour of Europe with Metallica, frontman Cardinal Copia, a.k.a. Tobia Forge hinted at an already recorded new EP ready for release. The band has interspersed all of their major full-length albums with EP’s of originals and carefully chosen covers. Ghost’s infectious smash single (15 million Spotify streams) ‘Dance Macabre’ has received the creepy music video treatment after much teasing on social media. The track comes from their hit album Prequelle (Spinefarm) from earlier in 2018. Directed by Zev Deans, who also directed the ‘Square Hammer’, you can watch it below. Ghost has shared another one of their humous clips starring Sister Imperator and Papa Nihil. The two chat by phone, as Sister is still laid up in the hospital after “The Accident”. The two have a discussion that can be interpreted as a veiled self-reverential diss at their history of different Papa’s and their replacement Cardinal Copia. Later in the clip Sister is phoned up by “The Original One” to see how she is doing. The band has stated that Papa Emeritus III is dead and the Papa character is “retired.” The band announced earlier their extensive Stadium tour of Europe next summer as the direct support for Metallica along with Bokassa for their “Worldwired To Self Destruct” 2019 tour. Ghost performed a stunning show at Royal Albert Hall last night in the UK, supporting their smash hit album Prequelle (Spinefarm). The exclusive show was performed in two acts, as they did on their recent Rats On The Road headline tour of the USA. You can watch fan-filmed videos from the show below. Following the gig, the band released an ominous video featuring Sister Imperator and Papa Nihil, announcing a European tour, in addition, to already announced Scandinavian dates for next winter. Their single ‘Dance Macabre’ has over With 15-million streams worldwide, topped only by the albums other hit single, ‘Rats’, which just celebrated nine weeks at #1 on the charts.
