One of heavy metal’s all-time greats, Judas Priest, will get the opportunity to celebrate its 50th anniversary again this year with the launch of a new North American fall tour. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Queensrÿche. The band continues supporting their latest album – Firepower (Epic Records).
Judas Priest announced last week that Queensrÿche will be the direct support band on the rescheduled “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American tour dates, taking place next spring. The band has now booked addtional dates added to the tour which you can see below. Judas Priest was forced to postpone two-dozen North American shows on its rescheduled 50th-anniversary tour in late September after the band’s guitarist Richie Faulkner suffered an acute cardiac aortic dissection during a performance at the Louder Than Life festival. He ended up undergoing a 10-hour life-saving surgery a short distance away at Rudd Heart and Lung Center at UofL Health – Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Tickets are on sale now.
Heavy Metal Gods Judas Priest has announced that Queensrÿche will be the direct support band on the rescheduled “50 Heavy Metal Years” North American tour dates, taking place in March through April 2022. According a published report by Blabbermouth and Ticketmaster, the tour dates will kick off on March 7 in West Valley City, Utah and conclude on April 11 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Heavy Metal legends Judas Priest Reschedules ’50 Heavy Metal Years’ U.S. Tour For Summer/Fall 202. This news was expected with the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Sadly\, not every show was able to be rescheduled. About a dozen concerts had to be canceled. Thanks to a tweet by Judas Priest’s official Twitter account, their originally scheduled tour dates with Ozzy Osbourne have been rescheduled to later in 2020. The tour dates were planned for 2019 but were postponed as Ozzy continues to make a full recovery from injuries and illness. Ozzy is trying to complete his final No More Tours 2 dates that will complete his career as a touring entity, and Judas Priest will be embarking on their 50 Heavy Metal Years!
