Swiss-Finnish trio, Sum Of R, have just dropped their new single, “Solace”, featuring Juho Vanhanen (Oranssi Pazuzu, Grave Pleasures). Arriving with an official video, it is the first single from their upcoming album, Spectral, coming out October 03rd. Watch the new video and find out more below.

Spectral is Sum Of R’s most haunting and possessed work to date – a nine-track journey through ritualistic psychedelia, experimental doom and krautrock alchemy. Following the critical acclaim of 2022’s Lahbryce and celebrated performances at Roadburn, Desertfest, and beyond, the band intensifies their hypnotic spell with a heavier, stranger, and more spectral sonic palette.

Formed by Swiss sound-shaper Reto Mäder and completed by Finnish visionaries Marko Neuman and Jukka Rämänen, Sum Of R channel cosmic vibrations more than genre – summoning music that feels unearthed rather than written. Spectral is the sound of a séance captured on tape: raw yet spacious, disciplined yet dreamlike.
