Society 1 Adds New Guitarist Erik Kluiber (ex-Gypsyhawk, ex-White Wizzard)

Los Angeles-based shock rockers Society 1 has announced that Erik Kluiber (ex-Gypsyhawk, ex-White Wizzard, etc.) is their new guitar player. The band has also welcomed back former drummer Dagon Destroyer, and immediately entered Skylit Studios to begin recording new material. Kluiber will join the band on the upcoming “Rise Of The Machines” tour next year with Static-X, Fear Factory, and Dope.

“I’ve known about the insane shock rock of Society 1 for decades. The timing worked out perfectly for me to throw my hat in the ring and get involved,” says Kluiber. “The new tunes kick ass, and I can’t wait for us to hit the road for the Rise Of The Machines tour.”

Check out Kluiber in the studio via the attached link, laying down impressive guitar work for the yet-to-be-released single “The Fight Within,” due out January 2023.

Dagon Destroyer, most known for his work on 2003’s Earache Records debut Exit Through Fear commented:

“I was 19 years old when we filmed our ‘Nothing’ video with Lord Zane suspending over my drumset,” says Dagon Destroyer. “It’s surreal that we’re joining forces again after 20 years and going out on the road with these bands.”

Society 1’s latest album Black Level Six is available now via the band’s website. Recorded at Pawn Shop Studios in Los Angeles, the follow-up to 2017’s Rise From The Dead is mixed by punk legend Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks, Bad Religion).
