The Smashing Pumpkins have announced The Rats in a Cage Tour, a twenty-seven-date North American arena run this fall celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of their diamond-certified 1995 double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness. Each night runs two full sets. Tickets go on sale to the general public this Thursday, May 21st at 10 AM local time.

They announced the tour with A Farewell to Zero | A Private Requiem with The Smashing Pumpkins livestream tonight. The format makes this more than a standard anniversary run. Set one delivers Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness performed in full. Set two pulls from nearly forty years of the band’s catalog, mixing hits with what the band calls “dark treasures.” The tour runs September 30th through November 12th, 2026.
