Breakout four-piece, Sleep Theory, have just dropped a new single and music video for “Gone or Staying.” The song features on their Epitaph Records EP, Paper Hearts, which was released in September 2023, and has already seen 87 million streams. Check out the new video in the article below.

“Gone or Staying” is a special song to us as a band. In this video, we wanted to capture the tension between a couple’s relationship as it comes to an end, and the grieving process of letting go of what once was,” the band shares. “Cullen (vocals) can be seen throughout the video walking through what once was, and eventually burning his past to move on.”

The story-driven video perfectly captures the song’s melancholy subject matter — holding on to a bad relationship when you really should just let go and burn it all to the ground, quite literally — and is bathed in beautiful blue tones.

Since bursting onto the scene, Sleep Theory have gone from strength to strength. The Paper Hearts EP has established Sleep Theory as one of the most exciting and talked about artists of 2023. They’ve toured with everyone from Shinedown to Set It Off to Beartooth, shared stages with I Prevail and Falling In Reverse, and have appeared at Louder Than Life, Rock Fest, ShipRocked, and count Jellyroll and David Draiman (Disturbed) as fans. With monthly streams numbering at nearly 11 million per month, a Top 10 track at Active Rock, and a full slate of touring through early summer, the band continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
