Shoot the Moon Festival returns for its second edition on May 8 and 9 at Reggies in Chicago, spanning two stages, the Rock Club and the Music Joint, for two nights of heavy, fast, and loud music. A charity dice-rolling table benefiting Punk Rock Saves Lives runs throughout the weekend. The event is 21 and over.

Night one on May 8 features The Goddamn Gallows and Codefendants alongside Black Eyed Vermillion, Anger, Piñata Protest, Fish Gutzzz and the Lost and Found Orchestra, Go Hang, The Rumdurs, Last Du, Yes Ma’am, and Portland Indigenous punk rock outfit 1876, which blends pow wow drumming with aggressive punk rock in a self-described genre they call Pow Wow Punk Rock. Its members represent the Blackfeet, Northern Cheyenne, Oglala, Comanche, and Yakama nations, and the band sings in traditional languages as well as English.

Night two on May 9 brings hardcore legends Negative Approach to the top of the bill alongside Lower Class Brats, Noi!se, Koffin Kats, Mephiskapheles, Lost Legion, Soviet Shiksa, Weiner Fever, DGNRBRS, Escape from the Zoo and more.
