We are bringing the eagle back to France to the Zenith iconic venues.” offers Biff Byford.  “The last time was way back in 1986 nearly 40 years ago, the set list is going be epic! We’re in Paris on September 11th, Nantes on the 12th and Toulouse on the 13th!  We’ll also be releasing a limited edition Hell, Fire and Damnation album with our Hellfest performance.

In 1984, 1985 and 1986, Saxon, at the height of their popularity, during the heyday of the albums Crusader, Innocence Is No Excuse, and Rock The Nations, performed three years in a row at the legendary Zénith, in Paris, France. The band’s iconic eagle, that adorned the cover of the band’s platinum selling album Wheels of Steel and its successors, soared majestically over those unforgettable shows. Forty years later, Saxon return to headline the Zénith in Paris, as well as in Nantes and Toulouse, to entertain their French fans with the mega Castles & Eagles show, the ‘short’ version of which delighted the audience at Hellfest last June – a show that embraces all the best aspects of the famous ’80s concerts, in terms of incredible song selection and epic set design.

From Strong Arm Of The Law to Power & The Glory and Denim And Leather to the latest Hell, Fire And Damnation, all of Saxon’s greatest albums will be revisited under the watchful eye of this steel eagle, illuminated by a thousand lights, the unalterable symbol of an exemplary career entirely devoted to heavy metal. For these three exclusive concerts, Saxon will be accompanied by Sortilège, the “made in France Heavy Metal” band from the 80s, who also continue their unwavering path by giving their repertoire a second life of the most exciting kind. Saxon & Sortilège invite all generations of heavy metal fans to celebrate together this music that has enriched their lives for more than four decades.

The Tour Dates are as follows:
Thursday 11th September – Paris, Zénith
Friday 12th September – Nantes, Zénith
Saturday 13th September – Toulouse, Zénith
