Royal Thunder wrapped up their recent stay in New York City with a captivating set at Saint Vitus Bar. The band is currently out in support of their new record, Wick, which comes out April 7th on Spinefarm Records, and they brought some of those incredible new songs with them to the Brooklyn venue. Even though the new album is another progression of their sound, the tracks flowed throughout the set list perfectly. Whether it was their old or new material, the band, as they always do, entranced the audience with their passion and power. Mlny Parsons‘ voice is well-known as one of the best in the world, and it was on full display Wednesday night. She belted out each track like it was her last, and left jaws on the floor. Josh, Evan and Will backed her voice with a stunning array of riffs, effects, and rhythm, and it truly made for an all-encompassing show. While this band has evolved tremendously over the years, as we saw a few nights ago, their heart still bleeds throughout every note, and they proved why many, including myself, consider them one of the elite bands in the scene today.
