Droneflower is the captivating project by indie chanteuse Marissa Nadler and metal legend Stephen Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom). The two of them play off of each other, complimenting their own unique talents to create something natural, unique and beautiful. Their self-titled album came out this spring, just in time for their stunning turn at Roadburn 2019, followed by several strings of tour dates. Droneflower represents nods to some heavy music, with the subtleties art-rock chill greatness, Nadler brings. Their shows, like their album, are formed by a mortar of slick originals and gorgeous, brain-breaking covers such as ‘Estranged’ by Guns N Roses, ‘More Than Words’ by Extreme, and ‘Blood & Tears’ by Danzig, ‘In Spite of Me’ by Morphine and more. Annie Hart, an up and coming artist deserving of a lot more notoriety opened the show at Saint Vitus Bar, in Brooklyn. Photos by Useless Rebel Photography.
