Swiss ‘farm metal’ band, Powerhill, have first single “Powerhill,” along with a lyric video by UK videographer Andy Pilkington (Motörhead, Judas Priest, Saxon). It comes from their debut album, Generation X, set to be released via Dr. Music Records on June 27, 2025. Catch the new lyric video and more below.

The musicians from Taverne carved out their very own tongue-in-cheek genre that is now being unleashed with full force and spiced with a pinch of country air on fans, rockin’ the wild Alpine prairie. Powerhill go full throttle with their band anthem, delivering a track bursting with energy. In an epic and wildly entertaining lyric video, the iconic mascot Clotilde and her animal band are put impressively in the spotlight.

Led by vocalist Veronica Torre and accompanied by thunderous riffs and high-energy drumming from Clotilde, the musicians blend powerful melodies with a hefty dose of humor. The band around guitarist, mastermind, and producer Alberto ‘Cep’ Ceppi proves that metal and farmyard charm can be a surprisingly explosive mixture. Driven by Luca ‘Chewbe’ Gentile’s grooving basslines and featuring drum legend Jörg Michael (Stratovarius, Running Wild, Axel Rudi Pell) behind the kit, the album’s ten diverse songs inspire with catchy anthems and humorous accents and shows Powerhill at the peak of their creative powers. Recorded and mixed at Stairway Studio under the supervision of Stefano Scenini, Generation X was mastered by George Nerantzis (Gus G., Pain Of Salvation, Nightrage).

Thanks to graphic designer Thomas Ewerhard (Avantasia, Gotthard, Jon Oliva’s Pain), the most iconic cow in hard rock has now received the perfect visual branding. Clotilde proudly takes center stage on the album cover with her stunning presence, posing in a glowing ’80s-inspired cityscape with neon nostalgia, ready to rock the next club. However, before Clotilde discovers nightlife over the summer, Powerhill are kicking off by introducing their three striking singles with stunning artworks and creative videos, perfectly bringing the band’s ‘farm metal’ spirit to life.
