Sad news as word has spread from bandmates and friends that Paul Stoddard, the vocalist for Boston Metalcore band Diecast has passed away. No cause of death has been revealed at this time. Paul joined the band in 2003 for the acclaimed albums Tearing Down Your Blue Skies and Internal Revolution for Century Media. Paul had the unenviable task of replacing original frontman Colin Schleifer, but rose to the challenge with his ability to create deep guttural screams, yet also as an incredible singer with powerful, soulful melodies. The band had been in talks in early 2021 to return, according to a post on the bands’ official page. We send our sympathies out to Paul’s family, friends and fans at this time.
