LA industrialists, Patriarchy, have just dropped their latest live video, “No Touch Torture.” The footage was captured at the release party for their recent live album, Suffer With Me (Live in London), which came out last October. In May, they kick off a European tour, followed in August by festival appearances at Brutal Assault and Sonic Blast Fest. Catch the video, live listings, and more below.

Patriarchy believes in pushing the limits of performance. With their recent Suffer With Me (Live in London) album, Actually and The Drummer answered fan demand to capture the chaotic magic of their live shows…and with the vinyl record nearly sold out on Bandcamp, it’s clear they’ve touched a nerve with their ever-growing audience. Now they’re sharing a brand new video for the live version of fan favorite “No Touch Torture,” recorded during an intimate, unannounced Los Angeles gig that evokes the seductive menace of the track’s title. Bristling with roguish sensuality and punishing industrial atmospherics, the live video converts the icy EBM power dynamics of the album version into an eruptive fusion of electronic, darkwave, and metal. It’s a kinetic, unpredictable experience, an uneasy balance between choreography and improvisation that feels like it could go off the rails at any time. And it has. Onstage, Patriarchy has broken knees and cut themselves to the bone. Because this is a band that is unwavering in pursuit of their artistic convictions. “This speaks to our idea that live performance is an integral part of the music artform, and that simply playing your music perfectly on stage does not a good concert make,” the band says.
With a European tour, including some big festival appearances, looming this spring and summer, fans will be able to experience firsthand how Patriarchy injects some much-needed adrenaline into concert appearances. The tour will promote the band’s June 2025 LP, Manual For Dying, and its lead single “Boy On A Leash,” produced by Twin Shadow.

Patriarchy is an industrial electronic band based in Los Angeles, led by multidisciplinary artist Actually Huizenga. Known for their provocative fusion of music, performance art, and striking visuals, the project explores themes of power, identity, and desire. Huizenga serves as the band’s vocalist, primary songwriter, guitarist, video director, and illustrator, shaping its distinct vision.
Since the band’s debut with the album Asking For It (2019), produced by Andrew Means (3Teeth), Patriarchy has continued to collaborate with notable artists, producers, and remixers. Their follow-up album, The Unself (2022), was created in collaboration with Matia Simovich (Inhalt) and mixed by John Fryer (Nine Inch Nails, This Mortal Coil). The album also featured co-writing by new permanent band member AJ English, who uses the moniker The Drummer.
Patriarchy has toured extensively across North America and Europe, most recently supporting The Cult in the U.S. and Canada in 2024. Their intense, high-energy performances—combining live guitars and drums with electronic elements—have earned them comparisons to Nine Inch Nails, Rammstein, The Prodigy, and Skinny Puppy, solidifying their reputation as a band meant to be seen as much as heard. They are set to embark on a full European tour in spring 2025.
