The now Wales based, international band Pantheist have just shared the title track of our new EP, Kings Must Die, as a lyric video. The song included is edited to suit the needs of a video clip, the full version featuring an additional five minutes of music. EP pre-orders will be coming soon. In the meantime, check out “Kings Must Die” in the article below.
The band say “We have prepared a moody and (we believe) very suitable lyric video which will help you get into the track’s concept.”
This is Pantheist’s first studio effort with their new, Cardiff based line-up, and the last with guitarist Jeremy Lewis (Mesmur) featuring as a full member. They still hope to collaborate with Jeremy in the future, who has once again not only contributed some original and unique guitar leads to the track, but also engineered and mixed it. “Kings Must Die” was mastered by Mark Mynett (Kill II This, City Of God) who produced the last two My Dying Bride albums.
They have also introduced a few guests. The first is Jake Harding from the band Grave Lines, whom Kostas Panagiotou (keys/vocals) has previously worked with in the classic/psychedelic rock band Landskap. Jake has taken charge of the lead vocals in this track with his characteristic bluesy vibe, but Kostas’ familiar growls are of course still present.
This is also the band’s first studio collaboration with soprano Linda Dumitru, and the track was recently debuted at their End of Year show at Fuel Rock Club in Cardiff.
