As the Rock and Metal world continues to grieve Ozzy Osbourne, a new report from The New York Times and People Magazine has confirmed that Ozzy’s death was the result of a heart attack. This was just weeks following his farewell performance as a solo artist and with Black Sabbath. This new information was obtained from a death certificate that was filed at a registry in London, England.

The document was submitted by Osborne’s oldest daughter Aimée Osbourne and it included a list of complications:

“(a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) Acute myocardial infarction (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).”
