Just Joe commented on the EP:
When Chris passed away it hit me hard, as it did a LOT of people. We have lost a lot of musicians over the years but this one just seemed a little more tragic. So after I posted my cover of Black Hole Sun and saw the response I got, I knew I had to do something. So with that being said, ALL OF THE PROCEEDS generated from CD sales, downloads and streaming will be donated to the Two Brothers’ Light, Inc. right here in Syracuse. It is a local organization that was formed to help raise awareness and erase the stigmas surrounding suicide and mental illness.
In addition to his work as a solo artist, Altier was the front man of Syracuse based hard rock band Brand New Sin from 2002 until 2008. Together the band released three albums and one EP They recorded the theme song ‘Crank It Up’ for WWE Wrestler, The Big Show in 2006 for WWE Wreckless Intent, as well as their song ‘My World’ was featured on UFC Fighter Chuck Liddell’s the Ultimate Iceman DVD.
