A lifelong fan of the band, Morgan Tedd describes the project as both personal and universal:
I’ve loved Misery Signals for as long as I can remember. Of Malice and the Magnum Heart was such a formative album for me and countless other musicians. To be asked to create two music videos for the band, as well as direct their Live in Isolation performance during the Covid years, was an honour. Those projects were made across oceans, but for this documentary, I wanted closeness. I wanted to capture the bond between the band, their fans, and the music itself; to celebrate the joy and intensity of their live performances through a reflective lens, as they toured for the final time before laying Misery Signals to rest. This film is my love letter to the band, and a shared celebration from one fan, to every fan.

Filmed by Morgan Tedd, with additional footage from Jim Madden and Tyler Hamende, and edited by Morgan Tedd himself, Love is Forever, Blood is Forever brings audiences inside the farewell moments of a band whose music has shaped a generation of metalcore.

Formed in 2002, Misery Signals are a Canadian-American metalcore band revered for their progressive riffs, odd time signatures, and intensely melodic breakdowns. Their debut album Of Malice and the Magnum Heart (2004) became a touchstone for a generation of musicians. Over the years, the band released Mirrors (2006), Controller (2008), Absent Light (2013), and Ultraviolet (2020), with both founding vocalist Jesse Zaraska and longtime frontman Karl Schubach contributing to their legacy.

In 2024, the band embarked on the Blood Is Forever, Love Is Forever Farewell Tour, with Zaraska and Schubach performing together across North America and Europe. The tour culminated in their final show on October 19, 2024, in Edmonton, Alberta, marking a poignant closing chapter in their 22-year journey.
