Metallica Recaps Their Second Annual “All Within My Hands Day of Service”

Metallica has shared a video recapping their Second Annual “All Within My Hands Day of Service” for their charitable foundation All Within My Hands. The second-ever Day Of Service enlisted more than 3,000 volunteers to spend a day working at local food banks across the U.S. More than 50 food banks participated in this year’s activities — more than twice as many as last year — and each registered volunteer received a special All Within My Hands T-shirt commemorating the united Day Of Service.

The band commented:

“Thank you for making our second annual Day Of Service a success! We hope that yesterday will serve as year-round inspiration and we encourage you to get out and give back in any way that you can, any day of the year. #MetallicaGivesBack #AWMH”

In its first six months of operation, All Within My Hands donated more than $750,000 to local food banks around the world — a practice the band and the Foundation continued on METALLICA’s recent North American tour. They’ve donated $10,000 to local food banks in every city and met dedicated people who focus their daily lives on helping others.
