Death always creeps up to remind you of its presence.
I’ve known Brandon Dabbs for a long, long time but had recently gotten closer to him as he was considering selling his home. We talked way more frequently recently than in previous years because of that. He was always such a blast to be around and was such a genuinely good person. The world is a little darker today.
Rest in peace, my friend.
Keep his family and the Meadows band camp in your thoughts/prayers.

Rest in peace Brandon Dabbs.
Brandon has been a part of all of this about as long as I can remember. I clearly remember seeing Meadows around 2011 at Planet Avalon in Decatur. I was taken aback by how good his bass sounded even then. Since those days he has always been kind, easy to talk to, and pleasant to be around.
What a loss. If there’s any open service or applicable info I’ll update it here.
Joe Calderon, vocalist of Lightworker says:
Brandon: You were one of the sweetest guys I met through this crazy music endeavor. I hate that we never got to share the stage and tour even though we discussed it many times.
Thank you for being a shining example of what it truly means to live out your beliefs..
Sending condolences and love to the Dabbs family, Meadows crew, and friend
Mental State’s Nick Chance said:
Rest in peace, Brandon Dabbs. I’ve had the pleasure of growing up in the greater Birmingham scene with you, of hanging out with you and calling you friend, of working with your band, and the pleasure of seeing you grow as both a musician and a person over the years. You’ve seen almost all stages of my adult life; I’ve had the honor of working alongside you and Meadows on so much stuff over the years, and I’m going to miss you endlessly.
This music video was the last project I had the honor and privilege of working with Brandon and Meadows on. I hope this lives on and carries your legacy forever.
Booking agent Michael Rasco shared:
My dear friend Brandon Dabbs of Meadows band has passed away.
This is very heartbreaking. Meadows was one of the first bands I worked with early on in my career and they have always been so supportive. Brandon gave me the chance to book my first tour which was for Meadows back in 2021.
Without Brandon I don’t know if I would be on the path l am right now. Thank you so much for believing in me and giving me the chance to work with you! I’ll take that tour of Birmingham you were going to give me last year very soon!
Rest in peace my friend!
Thank you for being such a beautiful soul!
Please send your thoughts and prayers out to the Meadows camp and Brandon’s family
