Metal For Good comment on the news:
It’s time for a Metal For Good line-up announcement! We are so stoked to finally be able to announce that Baz Mills and Adam Thistlethwaite of Massive Wagons are joining us as Metal For Good Brand Ambassadors – they’ll work with us alongside ambassadors such as Ed Gamble, TesseracT, and more. We’ve been huge fans of these guys for a long time, so we’re excited to ink a formal partnership with the band. Last year, in our most recent round of grants, we also proudly funded their incredible Forget The Haters tour campaign which helps primary school-age children deal with bullying. The whole team at Metal For Good is buzzing to work with these top guys from Massive Wagons and further our cause together – welcome aboard, guys!

Speaking about the new roles, the band’s vocalist Baz Mills said:
Myself and Adam were blown away to be awarded funding from the amazing people at Metal For Good to go toward promoting our Forget The Haters campaign, going into local primary schools in the North West, talking to children about how to spot, deal with, and help stop bullying in and out of their schools. Since being selected for funding, myself and Adam have become involved with MFG as ambassadors helping spread the word about the great work they do, promoting awesome causes through the rock and metal scene! If you have a spare minute please hit the website and look into all the truly fantastic work they do and support where you can, many thanks as always to the incredible rock and metal scene in this country.

Previously, through funding via Metal For Good, vocalist Barry “Baz” Mills and guitarist Adam Thistlethwaite won funding to continue to go into schools up and down the country in support of their anti-bullying campaign and subsequently have become ambassadors for the organisation. Kick-started by the 2022 track “Fuck The Haters” from their Triggered! album, the campaign aims to raise awareness of the negative impact of hurtful and hateful comments online.

Massive Wagons are no strangers to charities and mental health organisations, having recently taken the men’s suicide prevention charity, Andy’s Man Club, on the road with them for their UK headline tours back in November 2024 and May 2025. The charity had stalls in the foyer of each venue with facilitators from local clubs handing out wristbands and sharing details of their local club meetings for more support. There were on stage talks during band changeovers and an interactive installation posing the five questions each meeting is structured around, for gig goers to answer. You can watch a video of the band honestly considering the five questions themselves in their own impromptu meeting here: https://youtu.be/VgZbBWJGeuY. The huge success of new members joining around the country has even led to a new club opening in the band’s local area.

In other exciting Massive Wagons news, their hit track “In It Together” from 2020’s House Of Noise LP was donated to Lancaster University‘s Psychology department to be included in one of their incredible and vital Infant and Child studies. Their essential research includes what a baby can hear in the womb at different stages of development, and what it’s like for hearing-impaired people to listen to music with and without a cochlear implant, of which the track has been included for both experiences.

Last month Massive Wagons teamed up with Planet Rock to create their own unique and exclusive t-shirt design to help raise money for Cash For Kids, supporting young children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs, which also saw involvement from Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, Those Damn Crows and more. Riding high from a fruitful, successful, and busy 2024, the hard-working rockers celebrated a massive #1 album in the UK Rock Album Charts and a stellar #4 placement in the Official UK Top 40 Album Charts for their new release Earth To Grace. Fresh off the road from promoting the 11-track LP on their second leg of the UK, the Lancaster five-piece now look forward to being special guests at Myles Kennedy‘s EU shows in June, as well as a string of headline dates in between.
