Mammoth WVH have barely been off the road since the August 2023 release of their second album Mammoth II and show no signs of letting up. The live band – comprised of Wolfgang Van Halen (vocals/guitars/keyboards), Frank Sidoris (guitars), Jon Jourdan (guitars), Ronnie Ficarro (Bass) and Garrett Whitlock (drums) have already performed shows with Metallica, Alter Bridge and Sevendust, Def Leppard and Motley Crüe, and Nita Strauss.

After the Slash European dates wrap up, the group flit back to the USA for two weeks of headline dates with support from Intervals and the Welcome To Rockville festival in May, before mainland Europe beckons again through June – Mammoth WVH rejoining Metallica on their M72 World tour, plus performances at Graspop, Hellfest, and other European festivals. The quick UK visit in July is immediately followed by more US headline shows, dates with Foo Fighters, and then further Metallica US/Mexico dates with Pantera / Greta Van Fleet into September. Mammoth WVH close out November/December 2024 traversing the US with Creed and 3 Doors Down.

Taken from current album Mammoth II, most recent single “I’m Alright” is 100% banger. The official music video picks up and continues the entertaining thread from the humorous video for “Another Celebration At The End Of The World”. The former band of Wolfgangs’ – who have been fired from Mammoth WVH – start their own band Mammoth WWW and enter the same Battle of the Bands as Mammoth WVH. Hearing the band rehearsing “I’m Alright,” Mammoth WWW steals the song from Mammoth WVH to surprising results. Keeping it in the family, Wolfgang’s mother – legendary actress and chef Valerie Bertinelli – also makes a cameo appearance in the video.

Continuing the tradition of writing all of the songs and performing all of the instrumentation and vocals himself, on Mammoth II, Wolfgang Van Halen set out to challenge himself to expand his sound beyond what people had already come to know him for. From the rocking opener “Right?” to Beatles-esque fade on closer “Better Than You” Mammoth II showcases the growth of Wolfgang as a songwriter, musician and especially vocalist. Songs like “Miles Above Me,” “Take a Bow” and “Waiting” are all sonically different from each other but unique to what Mammoth WVH is. Recorded at the legendary 5150 studio, Mammoth II was produced by Michael “Elvis” Baskette and has piled up rave reviews across the globe, propelling Wolfgang into a plethora of worldwide magazine front covers and TV appearances.

Wolfgang also found time to guest on the song “I’m Just Ken” on the Barbie soundtrack, leading to a dazzling TV spot performing at the Oscars with Ryan Gosling and Slash last month.

More from Mammoth WVH:
With his solo band Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang Van Halen consistently challenges himself as a songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. After a monumental breakthrough – with a GRAMMY® Award nomination for his first-ever single, #1 debuts on multiple charts, television performances, and sold out shows over a two-year span – Mammoth WVH’s self-titled debut sent shockwaves through 21st century rock music.

Mammoth WVH bowed at #1 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart, Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, and Top Rock Albums Chart in addition to crashing the Billboard 200 at #12. He notched two #1 one entries at Rock Radio with “Don’t Back Down” and “Distance.” The latter also garnered a GRAMMY® Award nomination in the category of “Best Rock Song.” He appeared on The Howard Stern Show, NBC News TODAY, Jimmy Kimmel Live and on the cover of Guitar World where they dubbed him Guitarist Of The Year. The band supported Guns N’ Roses in stadiums stateside and Alter Bridge in arenas across the pond, while also headlining coast-to-coast in North America. Not to mention, he lit up the stage at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts in London and Los Angeles at the invitation of Dave Grohl himself.

Instead of choosing to settle on his breakout success, he consciously tested himself to further develop his sound from every angle on his second full-length offering, Mammoth II [BMG]. Coming out swinging, the hooks hit harder, the riffs roar louder, and the lyrics cut deeper as he delivers an urgent, undeniable, and unforgettable 10-song body of work.
