Sad news as Low Drummer/Vocalist and Alternative Rock legend Mimi Parker has died. She was only 55 years old. Park succumbed to Ovarian Cancer after a two-year battle. News of her passing came from the band’s social media accounts, and sad she was surrounded by family and friends. Parker, along with co-founder Alan Sparhawk and others emerged from the indie rock scene in Duluth, Minnesota and put out ground-breaking music for 25 plus years. RIP.
Friends, it’s hard to put the universe into language and into a short message, but
She passed away last night, surrounded by family and love, including yours. Keep her name close and sacred. Share this moment with someone who needs you. Love is indeed the most important thing.
