Boston metal/deathcore band, Living Weapon, have just served up their new single, “The Leaving Process,” with an official video. The track comes from their approaching full-length, Death in the Family, set to land digitally on August 14, with physical release estimated for September. Watch it in the article below.

Recorded, produced, and engineered by Jeremy Martin over fall 2025 into spring 2026 — the band’s first time tracking a full album internally. Mixing was handled by Taylor Young of The Pit Recording Studio and mastering by Nick Townsend.

The record confronts mortality, meaninglessness, and the aftermath of existence. The release is broken down over 23 minutes toward an unresolved end — life examined at its start and its finish, with the universe indifferent to either.

The album is introduced with first single “The Leaving Process” which lays out the album’s core theme: life as connection, not permanence — matter created and destroyed, briefly aware of itself in between.
