Nu Metal leaders Linkin Park are planning to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their 2000 debut album Hybrid Theory (Reprise) this year. The band made a call out to fans on social media seeking historical material to share with other fans in their community. Hybrid Theory has been certified 11x multi-platinum as of August in 2017 and stands tall as the most commercially successful album from the nü-metal movement. In a statement to fans, the band’s surviving members offered the following call to help contribute:
“This year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of HYBRID THEORY. We have some special things planned throughout the year and want you to be a part of it.
We’re looking for photos, videos, ticket stubs, merch, flyers, souvenirs and anything else you collected from the early days of the band in the late 90’s through the HYBRID THEORY era of 2000-2002. Some great examples include (but are not limited to) live concert footage and photos, pictures of band members and signed goodies from LPU meet and greets.”
