New York’s own, IKILLYA, will be unleashing War for an Idea on June 2nd via Urban Yeti Records, and as you’ve already heard in the ‘Your God’ and ‘Betray Your Creator’ singles, this is going to be one of the most furious, yet focused releases of 2017.
Today the band has teamed up with Metal Insider to premiere one of my favorite tracks off the upcoming record. Here’s what vocalist Jason Lekberg had to say about the ‘Every Man For Himself’ single, “This song was written in response to a song from an artist I respect. His admission of god as a guiding force in his life made me sad that he felt he needed that support, or at least needed to share that commonality with others. Musically this is a very different song for us, but writing it inspired further exploration on the album.”
