Oakland festival, Mosswood Meltdown, hosted by the inimitable John Waters, is due to take place on July 18 and 19, with a pre-party on July 17. Organisers have announced six official afterparty shows, and expanded the pre-party and Sunday lineups. Find out more in the article below.

Official Mosswood Meltdown afterparty shows will take place at Thee Stork Club and Eli’s Mile High each night—Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 19—and feature performances from festival acts Vivian Girls, Snooper, and The Dirtbombs, as well as new wavers Josie Cotton, Heather and the Hot Guys (Chunx of Gravy Train!!!! debuting her Heathers solo act with a live band), San Francisco garage rockers The Husbands, LA punks Memo PST, noisy Japanese undergrounders Warp, longtime local rabble rousers The Avengers, San Antonio Chicana punks Fea, honky tonk outlaws Jenny Don’t and the Spurs, and a slew of DJs — DJ Meercaz Worldwide, DJ Sum Bum, DJ Nick At Nite, DJ Cristy Bubbles, and DJ Pete Slovenly.
LA’s Memo PST and Oakland’s own distortion pop band Christina’s Trip join the already stacked pre-party lineup with Pavement, Wednesday, and Vivian Girls on July 17, while Sacramento pop punkers The Bananas join the lineup on Sunday, July 19.
