The band comments:
“King Is Rising was the album where we truly found the sound that defines Hammer King to this day. Ten years later, these songs still feel just as powerful as they did back then. With this remaster, we wanted to give them the sound we had always envisioned—without changing their soul. For us, this release is both a tribute to our Hammer Heroes and an invitation for everyone to rediscover the origins of our kingdom.”
The remaster was created by Alexander Ecker, giving the album greater punch, clarity, and depth while preserving the spirit and character of the original recordings. The goal was to present the album’s original vision with a modern sonic aesthetic, while maintaining the raw energy and anthemic power that made King Is Rising such an important release.
Originally released in 2016, King Is Rising marked a decisive step in Hammer King’s evolution. The album established the band’s unmistakable sound—a blend of classic heavy metal, epic grandeur, and memorable, anthem-driven choruses, all rooted in the royal mythology that continues to define Hammer King today.
Over the years, many of its songs have become staples of the band’s live performances and remain essential cornerstones of the Hammer King universe. The album laid the foundation for the band’s rise to becoming one of Europe’s established names in power metal.
Since the release of King Is Rising, Hammer King have steadily expanded their presence within the metal scene. Albums such as Kingdemonium, König und Kaiser, and most recently Make Metal Royal Again propelled the band into the German album charts and onto stages across Europe.
At the end of 2025, Hammer King celebrated their tenth anniversary with the reissue of their debut album Kingdom Of The Hammer King and a successful European tour. With the upcoming King Is Rising (10th Anniversary Remastered Edition), another important chapter of the band’s history comes full circle.
The 10th Anniversary Remastered Edition is aimed at both longtime Hammer Heroes and new listeners eager to discover the origins of the royal saga. The remaster brings out the recordings’ dynamics and detail like never before, allowing these songs to sound more powerful, vibrant, and timeless than ever.
