GWAR in conjunction with the creator-owned comicbook team of Matt Miner (Toe Tag Riot, Critical Hit) and Artist Jonathan Brandon Sawyer (Welcome Back, Critical Hit) to create their own GWAR-centric title Orgasmageddon. The goal is to create four issues and possibly a fifth. They have launched a Kickstarter campaign. You watch the teaser video and get all the details below:
Writer Matt Miner commented on the project:
“The fun thing about this story is that it’s a ‘GWAR through time’ concept,” Miner explains, “so we have a lot more creative freedom—think of it like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, if Bill and Ted were alien monsters who went on a bender and killed everything in their way while they made a bunch of fart jokes.”
THE COMIC
GWAR: ORGASMAGEDDON is a blasphemous and blood-drenched 4-issue (5 issues as a stretch goal) full-color comic book series by shock rock legends GWAR, writer Matt Miner (Toe Tag Riot, Critical Hit), artist Jonathan Brandon Sawyer (Welcome Back, Critical Hit), colorist Marissa Louise (RoboCop, Escape from New York), letterer Taylor Esposito (The Paybacks, Red Hood and the Outlaws) and editor Brendan Wright (Archie vs. Predator, Grindhouse: Doors Open at Midnight).
Having violated the art, music and film worlds, now infamous Scumdogs GWAR are coming for your comic books!
Do you need to be a GWAR fan to love this series? Hell no! There’s loads of laughs and violence, fun, and social satire for everyone to enjoy!
Did you know GWAR isn’t only the best heavy metal band in the known (and unknown universe) but they’re ancient intergalactic aliens responsible for the creation of the human race? Read the GWAR mythos HERE and get up to speed!
THE STORY
Straight outta Antarctica, come along for a ride with heavy metal Gods of Gore and masters of all that lives GWAR, as they bumble their way through time, making friends, killing friends, and drowning the entire human timeline in blood, bile, and, err . . . other fluids, explaining once and for all the question on everyone’s minds: “How the hell did we get here, and why is everything so damn effed up?!”
It’s gonna be a bloodbath, a royal rumble, and the touching story of a boy and the dead dog he loves all rolled up into the awesomest and most violently vulgar time-travel comic story to ever grace your pathetic human eyeballs!
