Former Scorpions bassist Francis Buchholz has died. He was 71 years old and passed away following a long battle with cancer. Francis was the bassist for the band from 1973 to 1992, and went on to play with Dawn Road, Michael Schenker’s Temple of Rock, and Phantom V. The band broke the news across their socials, which you can read below. RIP

Dear Fans,
we have just received the very sad news that our longtime friend and bass player, Francis Buchholz, has passed away. His legacy with the band will live on forever, and we will always remember the many good times we have shared together.
Our hearts go out to Hella, his family, and friends.
