Former My Chemical Romance Drummer Bob Bryar has Died

Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar has passed away. He was just 44 years old. According to a published report from TMZ and Lambgoat, Bryar was found dead in his Tennessee home on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. His last known sighting in public was on November 4. Authorities have ruled out foul play, citing no signs of disturbance or theft at the scene.

Animal Control removed two dogs from the property after Bryar’s decomposed body was discovered. The medical examiner is currently investigating the cause and manner of his death.

 

Bryar joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, replacing Matt Pelissier after the release of Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. He contributed to the band’s 2006 seminal album The Black Parade and co-wrote tracks for their 2010 album Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Bryar left the band before Danger Days was released, later transitioning out of the music industry to pursue a career in real estate.
