Via a statement from the publicity team, Foo Fighters have publicly denounced the unauthorized use of their song “My Hero” by Donald Trump for his rally on Friday, August 23rd, 2024. The former U.S. president introduced Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to the Foo Fighters track at an Arizona campaign rally, just hours after the independent presidential candidate suspended his campaign and endorsed Trump. In the statement via Billboard, “Foo Fighters were not asked permission, and if they were, they would not have granted it.”
