Faun Share Their New Single and Video “Tamlin and the Fairy Queen” – North American Tour Kicking Off

German medieval folk band, Faun, have just dropped their latest single, “Tamlin and the Fairy Queen.” At 6 minutes, and accompanied by a fresh video, it is their first new material, since the 2022 album, Pagan. The band also launch their first ever North American tour on Thursday, September 19th, at Center Stage in Atlanta. Keep reading for the new video, live listings and more.

The band says: “Tam Lin” is a traditional English folk ballad that tells the tale of a young man captured by the Fairy Queen. While only the first part of the song is typically recounted, the second part, where he is rescued from the Fair Queen’s enchantment, is even more magical. ‘Tamlin and the Fairy Queen’ is our English interpretation of “Tamlin,” which we released on our album, Pagan.”

The group combine medieval and ancient instruments with modern influences to create an enchanting, powerful and unique experience. Their music has reached Gold and Platinum status in their native Germany and they have been nominated for Germany’s top music prize, The Echo, three times. The band’s last five albums, including Pagan (2022), have debuted in the Top 10 of Germany’s album charts with Pagan entering at #3.
