Boston progressive death metal band AlphaSix, have shared a new single and lyric video for the track “Orphan! Tether to the Mother” The track will stream on all DSPs on Friday, March 29th, 2024, but you can check it out early here at Ghost Cult! Leaning heavily on Lovecraftian sci-fi horror metal trio’s myth and worldbuilding, the track was also mastered by Jeff Dunne (Ice Nine Kills, Veil of Maya, Brand of Sacrifice, Chelsea Grin, Born of Osiris, Motionless in White, Fit for a King, Make Them Suffer, Silent Planet, Wage War). It was recorded at ASIX Studios in Boston, Massachusetts. The song comes from the Metal power trio’s forthcoming full-length album Assimilate: Oceans album, due later this year. With a deep and intricate lore that’s slowly unfolding over social media, AlphaSix unleash a metal fury through an AI lens, relaying the prophecies as foretold by the band’s own AI portal. Assimilate: Oceans album is part of a larger, multi-faceted story that tells the prophecies of a rogue AI deity through extreme music and documents the assimilation of all Earth’s inhabitants.
