EXCLUSIVE SINGLE PREMIERE: Spirit Mother Share Their New Single “Emerald” – New Album Coming Soon

Rising Psychedelic Rockers Spirit Mother will release their new album Trails on September 13th on the respected arbiters of good vibes music, Heavy Psych Sounds Records. Pre-orders are live now across many formats including limited edition vinyl, the label’s specialty. The album will be the culmination of many years plying their trade in the scene, especially in the live setting where they are one of the best in the world. The band has teamed up with Ghost Cult Magazine to share their killer new single “Emerald!” Soaked with a sci-fi narrative, the fanciful track is a heavy riff fest, with many moods and layers to unfold on the journey before the final notes. Jam out to “Emerald” now!

The band commented on the track:
“A bastardized folk narrative about a man with the brain of an infant who lives beside a graveyard in an isolated forest and safeguards the graves within. Where time both flies and remains stagnate in strained equilibrium. The serene town and surrounding nature draws you in, and unknowingly grips you – until one day the steward of the cemetery reverently lays your bones to rest. Spoiler – its a real place, we’ve been there, and might still be there. Emerald is our take on psychedelia informed rocknroll in a direct collision with protometal and folklore narrative. Written first as a poem with no music. The music is added to accompany and deliver the poem. It’s comes off cryptic but is actually very literal. A testament to the location that Emerald both references, and was written.” – Armand Lance

Bio:

Spirit Mother’s forthcoming album “Trails” brings the energy of the band’s visceral, all-in live performances while expanding on the sensibilities of their debut album “Cadets.” It is the undeniable next chapter in the band’s creative process. The darker tonality, heavier, fuzz-fueled riffs, and relentless rhythm section accompanies prolific structure and arrangement. The violin summons a brooding, atmospheric pedestal for the remaining power trio to wield with fervor. Lance’s haunting vocals and stark lyricism intersperse the instrumentals with a melody that is as dynamic as it is accessible. It is the culmination of road worn years in pursuit of the art, and the moment-to-moment adrenaline of studio exploration. The album was aged, captured, delivered by Spirit Mother, and brought to the broader public by Heavy Psych Sounds Records.
