Life Renewed is the Metalcore project of musician and producer Robert Volkoff. In addition to crushing songs with a lot of depth, the artist is focused on bringing light to mental health issues, something sorely needed at this time in the world. “Vision: ReVision” is not only a tight track, the accompanying music video/short film directed by Jaden Frost of JFP Studios brings to life the very real emotions and impulses described by the lyrics. While this video may not be for the faint of heart, it comes from a real place of awareness and the gravity of the epidemic of suicide, our society faces daily. Check out the track (tw for suicide, mental health struggles).
Robert comments:
“Sharing this video & song, written from an outside perspective but relating to my experience, as well as reenacting an actual event with this song with the same person who prevented the attempt was meant to take this real event and highlight a major issue we are facing in the world today. After experiencing one of the most traumatic times we have faced, this song and video are meant to offer hope from a real perspective to overcome mental health and show it can get dark but life is worth living, This also shows the struggle of someone who may have overcome depression and suicide but stills struggles with the burden of stress, anxiety, overworked and not taking care of one’s personal health that can lead back into dark times that one may have experienced
The hope for this video is to have an impact on others to know this struggle is not something you have to face alone because others are facing it as well and life does get better on the other side of victory and overcoming, Your life does have a purpose, don’t cut your life short.”
