Miss Randall commented:

“‘Desertations’ is my take on the epic journey that is going into the desert, its symbolic Mysticism, and the entheogens that help us get to the other side.”

On the flipside, Miss Randall means serious business and had previously made herself known as a heavy metal musician. She participated in multiple albums and singles that she significantly co-wrote and produced with her former band, the LA-based metal trio Rusty Eye. She has also appeared as a featured vocalist in trailer music for “Insidious Chapter 2” in songs such as La Llorona Insidiosa (Music Junkies) or advertising spots for “Nextrip,” a Los Angeles Metro app.

Never quite leaving behind her metal past, she united forces for a full debut album with German producer/guitarist Waldemar Sorychta in a unique metal band that will announce their first single. For context, Waldemar produced timeless Century Media albums for bands such as Tiamat, Lacuna Coil, Samael, and Moonspell, as well as being considered a virtuoso guitarist himself while in “Grip Inc.”

Bio:

Miss Randall is “A rarity in rock and metal bands — to have a female ‘manning the kit,’ so to speak.” (Amy Sciarretto, Noisecreep) Miss Randall is an established songwriter, singer, and drummer driven by esoteric intuition and the uncomfortable themes of the human condition. She has independently kickstarted her eclectic songwriter career with the release of The Crystal Ship (Doors cover).

Her upcoming EP Desertations Vol. 1 out 11/10/23,Miss Randall reveals “These songs are a starting point for me to reveal my innermost thought patterns in songwriting. Going back to my roots, I focus on pouring my heart and soul into the honest space that is Blues and Southern Rock which have always been my DNA. The desert and open space imagery is an overlying theme that I intend to keep exploring in future releases as well.”

She participated in multiple albums and singles that she significantly co-wrote and produced with her former LA-based metal trio Rusty Eye, who have yet to release their “last hurrah” of final singles sometime this and next year. A dual citizen to the U.S.A. and Mexico, Miss Randall was brought up in a bilingual household in CDMX, Mexico. In these formative years she was a good student, but a typical hyperactive and alternative kid taking up extracurricular activities that involved dancing, singing, and drumming. During her early teens, she already presented her vocal abilities in front of a crowd, and started circling around the older local music scene where she ended up meeting (and eventually joining) the LA-based metal trio Rusty Eye while still finishing High School.

In a band and determined to be a musician, she decided to move to her father’s native city of West Hollywood upon graduation, her stomping ground established a block away from the legendary Rainbow Bar & Grill and former neighbor (and mentor) Lemmy Kilmister.

She resumed Music Production and Audio studies that were started at a college in CDMX but formalized at Hollywood’s Musicians Institute. This turned into a sound engineering position in places such as the Whisky a Go Go and Roxy, which solidified a deeper interest in music production in the studio. With Rusty Eye Miss Randall produced a body of work that spans multiple singles, 5 studio and 2 live albums.

Within just 3 years, she established credibility as one of the first Rock and Metal female drummers in the scene, constantly gigging at West Coast legendary venues, such as The Roxy, Viper Room, Regent, Whisky a Go Go, and more. Her driven spirit helped establish features in publications, such as Noisey, Revolver, Decibel, Metal Sucks, Metal Edge, Music Connection, Brave Words, Zero Tolerance, Exclaim, and Rue Morgue.

Relevant collaborations include: Sergio Arau y Los Heavy Mex (Botellita de Jerez), Fredrik Klingwall (Anima Morte), Claudio Simonetti (Goblin), Alex Mitchell (Circus of Power), and Waldemar Sorychta (Grip Inc./Voodoocult).

She has also participated in advertising commercial music and doing songwriting and performances for hire. Most recently, she collaborated with Iranian film auteur Soheil Afifeh fulfilling the duty of composer and producer for his art folk-horror short “The Deb,”  currently being selected in the festival circuits.

Now based in Portland, Oregon since mid-2021, and no longer a member of Rusty Eye, she is embarking on a solo career as a singer-songwriter and performer, releasing a number of self-produced singles and shelved creations that will span multiple genres and styles, including: Classic Rock, Electronic, Soundtrack, Alternative, and Metal. Rusty Eye have yet to release their “last hurrah” (i.e., a final EP of self-produced singles) sometime this and next year.

As of last year, she has officially united forces with acclaimed guitarist and producer Waldemar Sorychta on a full “Randall y Sorychta” album, currently under production in Germany, with an upcoming single fully produced that will be announced soon.

An additional local project/alias and a supporting band line-up in her hometown of Portland are TBA.
