Dhaka, Bangladesh Hardcore group HaremSluts will release their new EP, Code Minority, today, January 31st, 2024. They have teamed up with Ghost Cult to stream it in full. The band is staunchly political, resistant, anti-fascist, and of the people in its songs and lyrics, but uses storytelling and satire to illustrate trying to find a sense of sanity in an unjust, unkind world. The EP was mixed and mastered by Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust! Stream the EP here and purchase it at the link below.

Bio:
HaremSluts started as a one-man Hardcore Punk/ Crossover/ Black/Speed Metal band back in 2017 from Dhaka, Bangladesh by Asif Abrar (Eternal Armageddon).

As a one-man project, HaremSluts released 2 demos.

Currently Haremsluts is a 4 piece harcore group and the lineup is as below:

Abrar (Daddy Mercury): Lead Vocal, Rhythm Guitar, all Lyrics and Compositions.

Swapnil (Dave Sustain): Lead Vocal (in title track), Bass.

Turag (Searchgoat): Lead Guitar, Back Vocal.

Zawad (Vegan Fox): Drums.

Code Minority was conceptualised and partially written back in 2018. Riffs, words and ideas stayed in the vault. Asif Abrar, the founder and composer casually played some songs with his longtime friend Swapnil (ex-Orator, ex-Warhound), but it just stayed there. The idea of the EP clicked in late August, 2022. Zawad (Orator, Burial Dust) and Turag (Eternal Armageddon, Burial Dust, Leela) joined the force.

The words were always there for HaremSluts. People killing and burning a man alive in the name of religion, paranoid mob brutally beating a mentally challenged mother to death, friends beating another friend to death in university campus for having different political views, this city is enough to drive a sane man crazy!

HaremSluts is fueled with the madness and irony around. This cynical city, cries unheard, mob justice, false patriotism, you really don’t need a comic book to visualise Gotham!

The first song of the EP is titled as “No Apology”. No Apology makes a clear statement on how we are being used as pawns of someone else’s game.

The second song is the title song of the album, “Code Minority”. It’s an anthem for people who are oppressed, violated, tortured. People who are minorities for having a different belief, different ideology, different perspective.

The third song is called “False Alarm”. It’s a satire. People selling out the batton of ideology and legacy for personal benefits.

The fourth and the final song of the album is called “Take ‘em Down”. It’s a command to all victims of the system to take down all the oppressors and fascists. It’s an invocation to uproot the system and set a new order.

The album was recorded through live tracking. It’s fascinating how one after another thing just clicked. The group was raging, the energy in the room created a voice. A voice for all minorities that the band vented out through words, screams, overdrives and battle drums.

“Code Minority” was recorded in Studio 100 Miles and HaremSluts thank A Ayon Bhai for understanding the essence and naturally being a part of that energy.

HaremSluts reached mighty Joel Grind of Toxic Holocaust to mix and master this album. Joel immediately got the essence and nailed it at first shot. What a man! HaremSluts salutes this true spirit of metal.

The fantastic artwork is done by Turag
