Oakland’s Heavy Rock leaders Phantom Hound have teamed up with Ghost Cult to share their new album From Boom Town to Ghost Town in full, ahead of its release this week on September 18th, 2024 via Glory or Death Records! In addition to the band’s signature fuzzed-out grooves, wailing lead guitars, and sick vocals; the album is their most complete release, so far. Having grown up alongside the ghosts of the gold rush, I’ve watched closely as my hometown boomed into the most expensive place to live in the United States, only to have its back broken by the pandemic and fall into a state of chaos, much like it did 175 years ago at the rise of the goldrush and the devastation of the 1906 earthquake.

Earlier this year, we signed with Glory or Death Records to bring this story to life. A decision we couldn’t be happier with. Their steadfast support has been key in drip-feeding each new single and music video this summer with nothing but the utmost dedication to the record, and in addition, booking our West Coast support tour this fall.
