Finnish heavy metal guitarist, Euge Valovirta, is coming up on the release of his new album, Hardtones. First gaining international renown in melodic metallers, Suburban Tribe, Valovirta’s new solo opus comes out May 31st, via Gramophone records. Keep reading below to find out more.

In the heavy metal heaven that is Finland, Euge Valovirta is recognized as one of the most talented guitarists of his generation. Having starred in numerous domestically praised bands such as Godsplague and Drive, his first taste of international acclaim saw Euge as the guitarist of Suburban Tribe. He also garnered accolades as a hired gun ace on albums for metal luminaries such as Children Of Bodom, Hevisaurus, Ensiferum, and many others.

His dizzying fretboard talents have coursed through some of metal’s most celebrated releases. Today, in addition to his solo work, Valovirta mans lead guitar of Swedish melodic metal band Cyhra. He also has a self-titled YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@eugevalovirta230v) and a studio in Switzerland where he does recording, producing, mixing, and mastering for his music/bands and other artists around the world.
