Dissentience has unveiled the official music video for “Kaiju,” the title track from their new EP. Released independently on Bandcamp and limited CD formats, the four-song offering delivers a conceptual arc inspired by classic Japanese monster cinema and Lovecraftian horror. The EP unfolds like a monster film, chronicling the destruction of a fictional city across four distinct narrative “beats.”

The opening track, “Obsidian Tomb,” introduces the beast with a somber acoustic passage before erupting into aggressive thrash. “Chaos Absolute” captures the familiar disaster-film trope of leaders debating strategy while catastrophe engulfs the masses. The title track “Kaiju” serves as the climactic confrontation, described by the band as a “Godzilla-sized step forward” in their evolving technical precision. The closing track, “Death Shroud,” portrays the aftermath, drenched in doom-laden riffs and existential dread.

The EP was produced by the band alongside Corey Pierce. Recording and engineering were handled by Matt Menafro at Peach Pie Sound. Mixing duties fell to Zeuss, while mastering was completed by Alan Douches.
