Dieth signs with Fireflash Records, adds Swedish bassist Tobias Cristiansson of Grave, Necrophobic, and Dismember, and confirms their second album is coming. New single “Pound of Flesh” drops October 16. Details below.
Guilherme Miranda comments on the new deal: “This feels like the right home for us, as they share our vision of where we can take the band. We’ve poured our heart and soul into this new music, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited about what we have in store. New lineup, new music, new album — this is just the beginning.”
On welcoming Tobias Cristiansson as replacement for David Ellefson: “It’s a pleasure to welcome my longtime friend Tobias to Dieth. His history speaks for itself, and he fits perfectly with what we’re building. I’m beyond happy and honored to have him with us for this new chapter.”
On the upcoming single: “‘Pound of Flesh’ is brutal, and that’s exactly what I wanted this song to be. Musically and lyrically, it’s one of my favorite things we’ve done. I really can’t wait for you guys to hear and see what we’ve been working on!”
Dieth formed in Gdansk, Poland in 2022 and released their debut album To Hell and Back in 2023 through Napalm Records, following it with European headline and festival appearances including Graspop Metal Meeting, MotoCultor, and support slots with Testament and Sepultura, plus a North American debut supporting Metal Allegiance in 2024 and European dates with KK’s Priest that same year.
