On “Dig Your Own Grave,” band mastermind Dez Fafara explains: “It’s about how one wrong decision, one wrong move can see your whole world turned upside down. It can also refer to how your decisions can affect someone else. Be careful when you choose to make decisions at midnight.”

Strike and Kill marks a significant milestone for DevilDriver, featuring the return of founding bassist Jon Miller, who last appeared on a DevilDriver record on 2011’s Beast. The current lineup brings together Fafara on vocals, Miller on bass, Alex Lee and Gabe Mangold on guitar (the latter joining in 2025 from Enterprise Earth), and Davier Ortega Pérez on drums.

In support of the album, DevilDriver head out on the Strike and Kill North American Tour starting August 14, with support from Upon A Burning Body and Ov Sulfur across the western United States. DevilDriver and Cradle of Filth also reunite for a co-headline Australian tour this July, bringing full headline sets to five cities across the country. The two bands previously toured North America together in 2023.
