Melbourne brutal death metal four-piece, Deliquesce, are all set to drop their new EP, (dis)harmony, due November 24, via Vicious Instinct Records. Head into the article below to find out more.
Formed in Melbourne in 2019, Deliquesce have steadily built a cult following within the extreme metal underground by refusing to play death metal by the rules.
From Engineered Frailty and Cursed With Malevolence through to 2025’s Saviour / Enslaver, each release has sharpened a sound that moves between technical precision, suffocating heaviness and enormous, mosh-inducing grooves. With (dis)harmony, Deliquesce take that approach somewhere even more vicious.
Drawing from a broad spectrum of extreme music, the new material captures the band at their most aggressive and warped to date. But complexity is never there simply for show. Beneath the technical violence are riffs, grooves and sudden rhythmic shifts engineered for immediate physical impact.
Produced by Adrian Cappelletti and Deliquesce, (dis)harmony was recorded and mixed by Cappelletti and mastered by Ayden Perry at Q4 Mastering, with artwork by legendary extreme metal artist Jon Zig.
Line-up:
James Cooper — Vocals
Adrian Cappelletti — Guitars & backing vocals
