D.H. Peligro, Legendary Drummer for Dead Kennedys, Has Died


 

Punk Rock icon and drummer D.H. ((Darren Henley) Peligro, best known for his time with The Dead Kennedys, has died. He was just 63. The news was shared from the band’s social media accounts. Apparently, Peligro died as a result from trauma to his head, after a fall in his home. Peligro was the second drummer since the founding of the band and continued to perform with them for nearly four decades. In addition to his own namesake band, Peligro was briefly a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, contributing three songs to the Mother’s Milk album in 1989, and made an appearance on the live album Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide, from metal supergroup Nailbomb, and featured on Dead Kennedy’s covers while performing at the Dynamo Festival in 1995. Dead Kennedys’ drummer D.H. Peligro (Darren Henley) passed away in his Los Angeles home yesterday, Oct 28th. He died from trauma to his head from an accidental fall. Arrangements are pending will be announced in the coming days. Thank you for your thoughts and words of comfort.
