Chained Saint Share Their Single and Video “Snakeskin” – New EP Coming Soon

Following their first European tour, Florida teen metallers, Chained Saint, recently announced their new EP, Rise To Fall, due out October 9. They have also shared the lyric video for their new single, “Snakeskin.” Watch it below and read more.

“‘Snakeskin’ feels like the beginning of the next chapter for Chained Saint,” the band says. “We’ve grown a lot since Blindside, as musicians, as songwriters, and especially from being out on the road and playing these songs in front of people. One thing we keep getting asked after shows is how we describe our sound, and we still don’t really have a perfect answer. It’s just…us. There’s thrash, hardcore, and groove all living in the same place, and that combination has become a much bigger part of who we are as a band.”

The band continues, “With this new material, we leaned into that even more, the speed, riffs and aggression of thrash, the weight and raw energy of hardcore, and the kind of groove that makes the songs hit differently live. We started pushing further into that fusion naturally, without trying to force it into one specific lane. The new EP is heavier, more aggressive and more focused, while still keeping the classic metal foundation that’s always been part of who we are. ‘Snakeskin’ is the first real look at that evolution and where Chained Saint is headed next, and we couldn’t be more excited for people to hear what’s coming.”

Chained Saint spent July and August supporting Slaughter to Prevail after the two bands bonded during last year’s Louder Than Life when Chained Saint’s set was canceled due to inclement weather and Slaughter to Prevail invited vocalist Sean Sterling onstage to join them for one of their songs.

Rise To Fall was self-produced by the band, alongside Rob Roy at Power Station Studios. The five-song effort further shows off their punk and thrash influences. Additionally, the EP cover art was hand-drawn by guitarist Ethan Kahn.

Chained Saint will appear at Louder Than Life in Louisville on September 17. They will be praying, wishing, hoping, and bartering with the devil for a bright, sunny sky when they take the stage.

Chained Saint were tipped by press, and even Judas Priest legend Rob Halford praised the band for their chops. SiriusXM‘s Liquid Metal added the band to their playlist, and their debut single “Animosity” served as the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer, while “1000 Tons” was featured in UFC broadcasts in the summer of 2025. They also partnered with Affliction earlier this year for a mini-collection of merch and have appeared at key festivals including Warped Tour, Welcome to Rockville, and Sick New World.

Born in a South Florida garage back in the summer of 2022, Chained Saint’s debut album, Blindside (out via independent label Patriark Records) combines the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school ’80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of their day. The past and present collide, resulting in modern, metallic maelstrom made by a bunch of kids who play with fire in their veins — and their hands! Blindside, produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains, focuses that fury into a powerfully concise, eight-song LP. The album was recorded and mixed to analog tape with no computers involved whatsoever in the recording sessions. No AI. No studio trickery. No bullshit. Just real riffs made by real players.

Lineup:
Ethan Kahn – Guitar
Sebastian De Avila – Bass
Cameron Cottrell – Drums
Sean Sterling – Vocals
